Cajun Red Fishing Line

Having had a previous life as an employee of a fishing mag, I have had the opportunity to try any line I have wanted to for free. I have been given many spools of line to try and try them I have.

My favorite all around line is Cajun Red. They make a mono and a co-polymer, (Cajun Lightning). I use it on all my spinning combos. It is extremely tough but very soft and pliable. It casts great and has little memory. They boast that the Red line (the only color available, thus it's name) is invisible underwater. I don't know if that is true or not, all I know is that the line is one tough mother to break! I have had several snags this month that I knew would break my line, but they haven't. Other lines would have snapped but the Cajun just doesn't. I have replaced all my 17# test on my Catfish poles with 12# Cajun Red and have not had a negative experience yet, and I have landed well over 50 Channels so far this spring, from shore!!

The other great thing about Cajun Red is its price. Cabelas has 300yd mono spools for $4.99 and 1/4# spools for $5.99 The co-polymer is $4.99 and $6.99 respectively. Its some awesome line...

It's available at Smith & Edwards in Perry. Also check out their web site @ cajunline.com and see what it's all about. It looks like some really neat stuff although I haven't used it yet.

hey, thanks. the price is right too. the 1/4 lb spool is supposed to have 1850 yards of 6# test line. For $6? right on.
