FISHING: Good
Brownlee Reservoir

Good

Smallmouth and crappie fishing are both good right now. People are catching fish in five to fifteen feet of water, which is perfect for a fly fisher with a type 2 sinking line. Both of these warmwater species will give a good fight on the end of the line so it is a great spot to take a beginner. There is also a chance of catching a catfish or two so you never know what you might be tied to. You might also try a popper close to the bank early in the morning for some exciting topwater action.

Flies: Stayner Ducktail, sz. 10-6; Clowser Minnow, sz. 8-2; Crawdad patterns, sz. 2; Woolly Buggers in black, purple, and brown, sz. 10-6; Poppers, sz. 8
