It opened at 12:01 this morning! Too bad the lake I want to fish for is closed to bass fishing. Of course, you can't help but hook into a few 3 and 4 pounders there while fishing for crappies and walleyes. There's one in there that lives underneath the fishing pier. I caught a small walleye (9 inches or so) and this huge bass (guessing close to 7 lbs) comes out from under the pier, sucks the whole walleye into its mouth, and spits out my hook. Of course, this was two weeks before the walleye opener also.

This reminds me, I need to put my camera back in my tackle box. I keep forgetting it. I had a larger northern to post in the contest but didn't have my camera.

I did manage to pull in one 12 inch smallmouth this morning....

I did see a 26 inch northern

I guess neither will count cause I aint got a picture of either[blush] Left my camera at home as well as my ruler
