Willard Report
#1
A friend and I went out to Willard today. We left straight from work and we were on the water at 7:45 a.m. I launched at the South Marina in my porta-bote and we trolled our way up and down the east side using perch colored rapalas and I was able to land two wipers. The first one was 16", and the other was 19". We then headed over to the Southwest corner and my trolling battery got low enough I had to row back to the dock. Not wanting to waste my rowing, I threw a white jig in the water and started rowing. I had only gone about a minute, and I landed a 17" wiper. I was so surprised, but it was fun. I've only landed a very small wiper previously to this, and so this trip was great.

Thanks for the report, that must be quite a work out rowing back from the S/W corner. Did the wipers give you a good fight? WH2

Congrats on the wiper. They are a fun fish to hook into.
