Grunion running June 4,5,6 and 7

Hey there guys,

The grunion are running June 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2004 here in Los Angeles.

You cannot use the grunion for live bait when they are running, but you can cast into the fish that are attracted to their spawn flipping at your feet. Lots of nice halibut taken at this time.

Grunion runs have been hit and miss this year.

Those grunion runs have always amazed me. Especially since the DFG is never there to enforce the "No Net" rule. I used to watch people at Santa Monica beach scooping them up by the 1000s with a net and filling gunny sacks right and left.

Sounds like a good opportunity to catch some good "butts".
