I am headed to the Uintah Basin tomorrow and I was hoping to fish the Strawberry River near the Pinnacles on the way home. However, I heard a rumor that river around the Pinnacles lost most of its fish in the past year because of low water. Can anyone confirm or deny this? thanks.

I haven't been there in two years, but I would HIGHLY doubt it. That river is packed with fish and has a constant water flow coming from the reservoir. Besides, it's still on the DWR's list of waters that need to have the numbers of fish thinned out through harvest.

There is a sign that says Strawberry Pinnacles right on U.S. 40. It follows Red Creek down to the confluence. This is between Currant Creek and Starvation. When you get there go to the right past the Camelot resort. From there the road goes up the canyon for a few miles until you hit private property. The actual pinnacles aren't far from the turn up the canyon.
