Catfish in Minnesota River
#1
There once was a guy from Minnesota who said he fishes for cats in the Minnesota River. I don't remember who he is but I'd love to hear from him and make plans for a trip in the upcoming months.

I've heard of them too. They are enough to make you green with envy.(if you were that type of person). Others would be in shock and awe!!

Here are a few of the pics that I captured for you with captions.

He had posted on here but for the life of me I can't remember who he is. Not even going back to early last years posts helped. [:/]

Actually, that isn't the post I'm refering to. It was about a year ago, he said he fished the Minnesota River from shore a lot for the cats. We had replied to each others messages a few times but then winter came. :/

Possibly the main board. Every time I do a search for anything, I come up with some sort of list that has nothing to do with what I did my search on.

Thanks for your help in trying to find the post for me!

you only had half dozen on the fresh water concerning catfish.

this last guy is from Minn. so I am taking a stab at him being the correct one.

That's the one! Thanks!

For some reason, no matter what I enter as qualifications for the search engine on here, it gives me same thing every time.

I've tried every parameter possible and every time it came up with the same exact thing. Oh well. Maybe it's just Netscape (it decided to stop downloading for me yesterday).

Here's one of the small ones. Wish it were me that caught it.

this is how I do it... [ul] [li]Forums to search, select the board you want to search. "Fresh Water"[/li] [li]serch string, I typed in "Catfish in Minnesota River"[/li] [li]Type of search, I selected "all words"[/li] [li]Feild to search, I selected "body" [/li] [li]Show post from the last, I selected "show all post" [/li] [li]Only show post made by, I entered your "user name" [/li] [li]Number of post per page, I selected "25" [/li][/ul]

Being vary spicific in what you are looking for will aid in your searches. if you dont get it spicific enough you will recieve 11000 post,,, if you get it spicific and dont fiiind any thing you may need to tweek it just a bit.

But knowing the title and user name is always a plus, the more you know about what you are looking for the easer it will be to find it.

Heh, the problem is, I couldn't remember the actual subject line. I've tried doing other searches for "Ugly Stick" in the Fishing Polls and Survey's forum as well as the Freshwater Fishing forum, looking specifically for posts by "patches" and had the same results. I think part of the problem is Netscape. I just tried using Mozilla Firefox (my other browser) and had no problems with the search.

that vary well could be, I am not much of a fan of netscape, I use I.E.

It helps some time when you have a known variables and a known serch result to campare with...

Glad you got hooked up, If ya dont mind and if ya havent already make a comment to the fact on the message help board on your other post...[cool]
