Hey Everyone Long time no talk or post lol..Well right now im watching the banjo minnow commercial and for about 45 bucks I get all of the banjow minnow stuff which is the kit and video and the kit has ALOT of stuff and Im wondering is it worth it has nayone tried this lure b4? If You have plz lemme know THX-

Pop bought the mega pack and caught nothing. He gave it to me last year and I got two bass with them last year. Save your $45.00 for lures you know work.Cabelas has the Lucky Lure and they are producing for me this year.If you have the itch to get a new lure, I can recomend those.

Hey fourstrings the Banjo Minnow has been around for a long time. I bought a pack (well, got it for my birthday) from Walmart over the counter back in '97 or '98, and I actually did ok with them. Back then it cost about $30 from the commercial or over the counter. I don't know if they are "new and improved" now or come in a bigger pack or what, but they do work quite well for bass.

I've caught a few nice smallmouth bass on them at a local reservoir in the prespawn in April, and I caught 1 nice largemouth on them during the spawn as well. My friend caught a tiny 5 inch largemouth on the 4 inch minnow, go figure.

When all is said and done, they aren't any "Miracle" lure like they say on TV, but they do work quite well in certain circustances, especially if you know how to use them. They actually work quite similar to senkos.

I personally wouldn't spend $45 on them, I'd just go buy a bunch of senkos probably, but I still have mine and I plan on using them this year too. Hope this info helps.

I tried them out about eight years ago and did well with them in New York. Actually got one stripper and a few fluke along with pike and largemouth bass.

I have used them with success! They are excellent for bass. I haven't had as much success with trout. The hook is at the head of the lure and bass seem to gobble up the entire lure. Trout, on the other hand, often bite only the end of the lure. I still use them from time to time. I like them, but they are not always my first pick for a fishing lure.

I agree with gdn433. I also waisted my money never caught a thing. Course I never caught anything on the FLYING lure either. But I'm sure that I will buy one of those lures off the late night tv again some day. Its amazing what people do when there bored.

I hear ya Wiggy, last winter in a weak moment I bought those lures that give a red flash when they swim. Lost three so far, caught 0[]

hey all i haved fished with the banjo minnows and the frogs and i did really good about 2 years ago at lake powell i was catching them left and right on the 3 and 4 inch frog and the largest fish i caught on it was a 36" stripped bass. i cant count how many fish i have caught on them all i know is tonz of bass lol oh ya i also caught macs splakes and bows on them so i thought they were a good deal

[size 1]I am a sucker for all that stuff (glutton for punishment) I guess I just have a fascination for new innovative ideas. Usually they are just that, good ideas with lack luster performance. I will say I had a lot better success with the Banjo then I ever did with the helicopter. The question is can you ever really have enough fishing tackle (lol)? [/size]
