[cool] You're right, that jigging for those bad boys is just too much fun!! I didn't get bit on Saturday until about 6:40 PM or so and I had launched at 5:15 AM. But for those 13 hours or so I just kept thinking to myself, "It only takes one bite" and sure enough, I had 3 big bites in that hour and a half. I tried to make myself go troll for kokanees (that lasted about 30 minutes) and fish for smallmouth (made it about an hour) but I kept thinking of all those big fish whose day I could go try to screw up! Man, this mack jiggin' is addictive! But, to be honest, the bite for the trollers this past weekend was better than for the jig fishermen in terms of numbers. And BearLakeMack and Predator got a 30 lber trolling and I know of a 22 as well.
As for bait, I was jigging tubes with a little Anchovy Smelly Jelly rubbed on but that's all - no sucker meat or carp or anything like that.
And, yes, one of these days, I'm going to modify my signature to raise my target to 30 pounds. But right now I'm going to enjoy beating 25!
