Utah Lake Report Lindon 07-03

Went to the beach area in Lindon with my kayak. Started out at about 7:30am til 11:30am. Caught 6 channel cats total. Smallest was 14", rest were from 18-22".

I also saw some guys fly fishing for carp, was interested to see if they got any and what flies they were using. Has anyone had much success fly fishing for carp there?

what did ya catch the cats on? I havnt tried using flies but in the spring a white maribou jig will catch all of the carp that u want, real fun on 4lb test and an ultra-light!

I was using some chicken that I had forgot to put back in the fridge the last time I went catfish fishing on Tuesday. It stunk so bad I almost lost it when I opened the container but the cats liked it. All were returned to catch again later hopefully.
