Popeye

Hey guys, I've seen these Popeye baits in the Cabelas catalog and they looked pretty cool. I was just curious if any of you have actually caught fish with them? Maybe the fish are fans of popeye too[]!

I bought the Bart Simpson one last winter to add to my collection on the wall. They'er plastic so I don't trust them to last long fishing.Does make a good conversation piece.

They have a wide variety of lures they sell here in Minn that I would never use for fishing. They are novelty items, some grotesque, some quite inappropriate, some downright make you laugh your pants off!

That would be pretty cool if you did catch a fish on one of these though[cool]

I can't see why they wouldn't work.Any fish that will take Lures that look nothing like anything in the food chain, would have to eat a Popeye lure.[] Let us know if you try it.
