Did you notice how many are here in MN? I'm surrounded by them but never enter!

Minnasota gets a fair portion of the tourny trails because of all the great lakes available there. 3000 people from my state of michigan battle their ice spuds out for the oppertunity to gain entry level for the $50,000 anual national ice fishing derby there in Minn. every December. they have to place in the top three of our state level tourny to be eligable to entery the national...

michigan has more sportsman than they ever had, but the number of hard core sportsman have dropped drasticaly in the last 2 decades. industry and over population has taken its toll.... many of the lakes that were once open can no longer be fished because the lakes have become privetized.....

Now that just bites the bullet. Privetizing public property. Is the state selling the lakes? I think every lake should have public access somewhere... whether it be just a canoe launch or a full fledged boat launch.

I agree fully, at least a simi public access, you know what I mean, one that would accomidate the residents living around the lake and not just on the lake. every one living around the lake has to pay taxes just because they are near the water. they should at least be allowed access to what they are paying for....[mad]
