scofield and e-lake 7/10 sat
#1
We got to scofield about 130 after i had to fix the fan belt that started to fall apart on the way to scofield. When we got there the wind was howling and my hotspot was out of water![pirate] The water level had dropped at least 5 feet. There was also a lot of grass and weeds floating arond and that made it difficult to fish so we left for e-lake about 3.When we got to e-lake my daughter threw out the minnow trap but forgot to tie it down and it went bye bye!My wife went into the water for a swim and she tried looking for it but it went down the dropoff so it was gone! Well my niece started us off with a 19 cutt and then she was exstatic! Her first big fish!we started at the boat ramp then we moved over to the dam and we stayed ther till about 930pm.Fishing got really good once the sun went down. But it got cold and we had to leave because the kids were getting cold.We ended up catching 10 cutts between 14-16 inches. It as a ggod day.[sly]

Sorry scolfield didnt work out. I was up there a couple weeks back and the wind was hawlin' then too, maybe it never stops!

Good ta hear to guys did well at E-lake tho'. Man I need to get up there but it looks like it wont happen until the Archery hunt. It makes a nice place to slip down to in the middle of the day while waiting for the evening huntin' to start.

Coldfooter, you are a man after my own heart. Not many things better in the world than bowhunting and fishing all at the same time.

Man you know it.. Besides, a guy need a nice nap laying along a shoreline fishing after getting out of bed to chase Bull's and Bucks after 4:30am.

[cool]Hey ocean, that sucks about the water dropping at Scofield, but at least that should make the fish even more concentrated for the hardwater fishing this winter, eh?

About Electric Lake, since you lost the minnow trap, which baits were working best? I'm gonna be up there in a week and a half, and can't wait to hit it and Hunington![Smile] That little creek going up the Fairview canyon is very fast fishing, too. Gotta hit that with some grasshoppers too. OOPS!! Did that I say that last part out loud???[angelic]

I personally used spoons 99% of the time .Chrome color works best for me.We also caught them with a worm and orange and green marsh mellow. They seem to hit the best when you drag it slowly on the bottom.Hope this works for you.As of huntington i havent tried it in a while pm fuzzy maybe he has been up there recently.Good luck.
