I used to fish the weber down through the henefer area. We'd do pretty good just chunking a crawler with some weight down into the holes. We hooked a few decent browns doing that. Good luck, and I hope you guys can catch some fishies.

I have had great success on the weber below echo, but above taggart, i always use the same things on this river. i like to use the 1/16 ounce rooster tail. rainbow trout color works great, or the brown trout color, there is also an olive color that works great. but make sure it has a gold blade. the silver has never worked for me. if you want some specific spot pm me.
good fishin!
catfish joe.

The weber river can be very productive, I fish the weber often, sometimes twice a week. I Work the river in several areas starting at Taggart all the way to Rockport. My favorite place is about 2 miles north of the spring chicken inn, at the intersection by the spring chicken inn the are 3 roads, stay to the left and follow it untill you come to a road that turns to the right (East) and then follow it to the bridge and then work down stream, and yes there are fisherman access points. PT's size 14, 16, Grey scuds 16, 18, zug bugs 10, and 12, bead head prince size 10, 12 and 14 were working well for nymphs, if you want more info shoot me an e-mail @ jason84118@yahoo.com and I'll help you out the best I can.

there is no section of the weber that is fly fishing only. and you are correct mike the section below rockport and just above echo is hammered alot. it was turned that way after the provo river hit critical mass. so they migrated over to turn that strenght into a mediocre area now.

Xman, when I said that a section of the Weber is fly fishing only, I meant to say that it is artificial only.
This is from the proclamation.
Weber River -- From the first I-80 bridge upstream from Echo Resevoir (near exit 164) upstream to I-80 bridge near Wanship (near exit 156). Artificial flies and lures only. Trout Limit 2.
