I got to go fishin yesterday! I caught 3 crappie one of them was pretty good size, the other 2 were smaller. I caught them on minnows on a crappie jighead. First time i've ever caught a crappie

It always feels good to get back out after not being out for some time. Keep up the good work and catch some more crappies. They are fun to catch and taste really good.

Personally, walleye is the best eating in my opinion. I like crappies too, though. I like to pan-dress them rather than filet because sometimes they are too small or its just a pain in the butt to do. Pan dressing means cutting of the head, tail, all the fins, and then scaling them. You can then stuff it with various things. (You still have the bones though.) Hope this helps.
