Speak Up On Experimental Regs
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is planning a public meeting to discuss an experimental regulation set to expire in 2005 on Pike Lake and on proposed special regulations for several Cook County trout lakes.
The meeting will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sept. 18, at the Cook County Community Center, located at 317 W. 5th St. in Grand Marais. Public input is needed to determine whether the existing experimental regulation will be dropped, modified or made permanent.
Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m., Sept. 29, and may be mailed to: DNR Area Fisheries, 1356 E. Hwy 61, Grand Marais, MN 55604, or anglers can call in concerns at: (218) 387-3056 with questions. Email comments to: steve.persons@dnr.state.mn.us.
