I FINALLY MADE IT OUT FISHING ON SATURDAY. HAVE NOT BEEN FOR AWHILE AND IT TOOK A COUPLE OF HOURS TO FIND THE LMB. WE FISHED THE ROCKS AND ALONG THE DAM AND ONLY PICKED UP THE 4-6 INCHERS. WE MOVED OVER INTO THE WEEDS IN 2-6 FEET OF WATER AND STARTED CATCHING THE 10-12 INCHERS. ALL OF THE FISH WERE CAUGHT ON CHARTRUESE SPINNER BAITS. WE CASTED INTO SHORE AND DRUG IT THROUGH THE GRASS. WE CAUGHT 20 OR SO IN ABOUT AN HOUR. THE FISH WERE REAL FAT AND GOOD LOOKING. I HAVE YET TO SEE A FISH BIGGER THAN 12 INCHES IN THERE.

Thanks for the report, there have been very few from Sand Hollow this year. Those little fish should be a lot bigger next year. How big is SH? WH2

My brother caught a 5lb 3oz LMB in April near the swimming beach on a green tube jig.

[black]I was there in July. The bassboat was at home, but I had my tube. I fished sw of the "rock garden"(my name for it) and by the swim beach area. I caught some LMB's but nuthin' of size. I used tubes, senkos, and the ugliest chart spinnerbait. [/black]

[url "javascript: addTag('cool')"][cool][/url]Sand Hollow Res. is down by St. George. It's that new lake that they talk about on Doug Millers OUtdoors, if you watch that show. In fact, if you go to his website and click on the archives, you can probably pull up his show that he did down there a month or two ago.
If you are into ATV's, there is a bunch of awesome sand dunes down there too. It's gonna be one heck of a state park, after the bass get a little bigger. They were just stocked like 3 years ago or so. This is the first year that it's been open to fishing. Hope that helps.
