Diamond Fork
#1
TO GET THERE: Take Hwy 6 out of Spanish Fork until you see the Diamond Fork sign on the right hand side of the Hwy. Turn left onto Diamond Fork Canyon Road. You can fish anywhere along the road up to Three Forks. Past three forks up to the Sulphur Spring, the water is milky gray and stinks; you won't catch anything in that water, so don't waste your time. Above the sulphur spring, the river is more shallow with the exception of the many beaver ponds and the only way to find out if they produce is to fish them. Some are shallow and some hold what would be considered a trophy for such a small stream. A 16 inch brown would be considered a trophy in these waters. On the lower stretch, there are browns and cutthroats that push 20 inches. I fish with spinners and Berkeley soft plastic baits and actually do quite well. However, you may want to contact a local fly fisherman or fly shop to get info on hatches and different aquatic insects so that you know what patterns to try during the year. Good luck and good fishing.

I've heard that elk hair caddis is a good choice for diamond fork.
