Farmington bay fishing
#1
Does anybody know if there are bass in Farmington Bay? I live in
Farmington and like to go out to the refuge, but the only fish I know of out there are carp. Is fishing even allowed out there? I do not have a boat so I would have to fish from the dikes if there are bass or other sport fish.

There is nothing that would prohibit you from fishing out there. There may be a stray bass or two out there, but I wouldn't go out there specifically to target them. Go out there looking for carp, and you should be golden.

Bad info Killer Bee. There is no fishing allowed on the refuge.

Your better off going to the pond by the south enterance or Farmington pond.

I stand corrected...sorry for the misleading info. I've seen people fishing for carp out at Ogden Bay, and you have to walk right past the rangers house. My guess is that they could give a rats behind if you are out there fishing...I'd just ask the rangers out there. If they don't mind, you're not going to get ticketed.

Ogden Bay may be different due to the river passing right through it.

I have wanted to fish FB for bull frogs for a few years now but I can't.
