Fish Takes A Bite Out Of Minnesota Boy
#1
DULUTH, MN--According to an Associated Press report, an 11-year-old Minnesota boy was bitten by a large fish while he was hunting frogs on Minnesota's Island Lake last week. The fish, believed to have been a muskie or northern pike, caused wounds on the boy's feet and hands that required 11 stitches. The boy says he saw the fish splash just offshore, approximately 5 feet away. The boy says the fish then splashed right at his foot and bit him. The boy told the AP he hit the fish on the head and tried to pry it off his foot. He says the fish let go, but not without biting him on the hand. The boy's parents took him inside the family's cabin, where they washed his wounds and then took him to the nearest hospital where he was given eight stitches in his left hand and three in the bottom of his right foot. He's now recovering at home.
