Wind-Berry Report

Took MamaBaruu up to the Berry this morning to see a glorious sunrise... We anchored off at the meadows and fished for about 2 1/2 hours . . Caught a dozen Cutts on worms & P-bait. Then came the wind @ around 10:00 so we pulled anchor and trolled white jigs and black wooly - boogers, boated another 5 - 6 Cutts till the wind became too much to want to fight and we called it quits around 11:15.

One small boat capsized near the marina... and others headed to the closest land with a boat full of lake water. kind of rough but still better than mowing the yard (which i did upon our early return).

i was there also very bad day worst fishing day of my life. i got a ticket on the way up for speeding broke my favorite rod left my tackle boxes at home then there was the wind and water in my boat. lets see what else went wrong let me think .... i know there is something else... oh put a dent in my wife van also..... so all in all a crapppppieeee day. oh we got one cutttrout trout about 25 inches long he is still at the berry... Sounds like a rough day . I think I be there (berry) tomorrow but will fish it from shore or tube . I will take my time getting there but forgetting stuff I been there done that . I have broke 3 rods and lost one rod and reel overboard this year , so I feel your pain . Still a 25" fish is something I go for , just so I can release it . I am on a quest to hook all the fish in the berry this year . LOL

hey mikecromaine-

I've heard of bad stuff coming in threes, but not in fives & sixes... however, a 25" Cutt makes it all worth it. that's the kind of fish that keeps you coming back for more.

Anyway so far you get the "Medal of Honor" for the day-

ok a 25 in cutt won't bring me back but thanks for vote of encourgement the wife is more upset about the speeding ticket and my rod lot of money lost there now if i would have hurt the boat well she would be pee-oed at me and would have made me sleep in the car i had been 5 years sence i was up there i think it will take me longer next time to go there i think i don't like that lake..... i think i will stay on the lower lakes is it summer again i want to go wiper fishin []
