Hey there guys,
The bonito are everywhere! Nice 1 and 2 pounders are attacking along our jetty walls, marinas and river outlets.
A close-by hot spot is the San Gabriel River channel out near the entrance to Alamitos bay. They are not there 24/7 but you'll see the little fishys jumping out of the water when they swoop in. Arrrrrrgh
Kroc's were great or some of the larger CastMasters. Might be a good idea to see if they'll bite with a wire leader too as not only do they have sharp teeth BUT those sneaky little needle fish are also anxious to bite thru your 4 lb test line.
Tides and fish don't always match so it's just a matter of going and seeing what happens.
Good luck with that trout pole and 4 lb test!
