Strawberry Derby Report

Fished Strawberry Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The derby was a success. The winning fish(4 lbs,8oz,25in,cut) were caught jigging white tube jigs tipped with worm or minnow in shallow water close to the bank. Trolling was successful using flies in shallow water. We tried using different lures, but had best success with muddler flies. The lake had just turned over last week, there was a lot of moss on the surface. The weather was perfect during the whole weekend. Mike, who planned the derby, along with his team won 1st and 2nd place.(see picture) We had a great time. Thanks to Mike!
