To all, got out on the boat this long weekend and spent 2 days drifting for Halibut in Santa Monica bay,the water was good and clean with 66 to 68 temp.Nice wind off the ocean with a perfect drift into the beach.Day one went up north to malibu with only shorts caught but there was a lot of fish.The next day went south to Redondo beach and Palos Verdes point a few nice calicos at the point up to 3lbs.Moved closer to home up by Manhattan and Hermosa piers and drifted for butts again this time lots of shorts but managed to get 2 keepers the big lady was about 20lbs the other was about 10..All in all it was a nice 2 days with a rod in my hand and it going bendo every now and them,see you on the water
