Using "Quote" in responses

I have noticed that several of us (me included) don't understand how to use "Quote" in replying to a post. Every time I have used Quote to reply to a post the quote is there, but my response is not. I see that some have mastered this skill -- mind sharing with us who are "Quote challenged" what we are doing wrong?

It worked, so i really cant be any help to addressing your problem there kent. All i did was hit the quote tab, then i typed what i wanted to under it and hit post. it worked for me

Well, you can see how it works for me. I typed a response below the line (below the quoted text). It works the same way whether I post from my computer at home or my computer at work. Must be similar to the "Inline" posting of pictures that some can see and some can not see them (of course I am also part of the crowd who can not see the pictures). I have noticed a few others use the Quote response and their reply is not visible either -- so apparently I am not the only one who has this problem.

[font "Comic Sans MS"][size 3]BTW, speaking of the in-line option for attachments, the attachments that are normally at the bottom of the page are suppose to disappear when the in-line option is check. Thats because the pictures are supposedly showing in the post's body and need not be visible at the bottom of the post. So if you see them, in reality, your computer is not "working" correctly! Go figure...[/size][/font]
