Devil Creek 12/4/04
#4
Unless it is listed under the regional exceptions you can use 5 poles with holes no larger than 10" in diameter when ice fishing in Idaho. There are a few exceptions to this rule like Bear Lake, Treasureton, Daniels and others. The fishing has to be slow or you have to be really busy if you want to manage 5 poles. It can be fun to see 2, 3 or 4 of your poles go down once. It is also frustrating try decide if you want to wait and see if the fish that just bite the pole in front of you will come back or if you should run over to one of your other poles that is getting hammered by a fish.
