Rexburg Nature Pond Report
#1
I should have just posted this with the other report because it is almost an exact repeat of the day before. This time I took my two year old out because my five year old was coughing too much. His mom said that if he wanted to go to Island Park this weekend he better get well.

I only put out one rod from 4:00-5:00 p.m. We landed 16 stocker rainbows using a 1" Berkley Power nymph with a meal worm. I spent most of my time watching the fish with my aqua-view. I was surprised to see so many perch on the bottom. I haven't caught a perch yet this year. Maybe the trout are picking up the jig too fast for them to even get to the bait. It was a lot of fun and there are plenty of fish in the pond. The ice conditions were the same as the day before. About half of the pond doesn't have any ice at all and 1/2 still has 3". Good luck to all.
