Thats a nice fish, every once in a while you hear of a big brown coming out of the Ogden but big bows like that is few and far between. Thanks for sharing the article. WH2

[cool]Wow! Who knew there were fish that big on that little 'ol river?? And, they said they lost several others over 5 pounds. That must be one heck of a secret honey hole they've got up there!!

That is a very nice bow. Especially for the Ogden.

It happens every year.
I havent decided yet if these fish are actually making it out of the dinosaur park pond, or if the anglers are hoping back and forth.

But I do know this, the ogden river historically produces certian species of fish. After the dinosaur park was put in, and those big fat rainbows were stocked in thier pond, that is fed by the river, big rainbow catches started showing up.

I have talked to several guys who have caught the big brutes, all have been in the area of the park.

Either way, an 8 lb rainbow is a nice fish. If you are looking to catch one on the ogden, you may want to forget the canyon, and fish there near the park.
