I have to admit that I have been pretty good at not dropping anything down the hole, well that was all the way up till last year. I kicked my crappie rod down the hole, I grabbed my pike rod and droped down my walleye jig and snagged the line and pulled my rod back up from the 25 foot depths.

other than that there was the ocational minnow I lost while baiting my hook. I did one time drop my foot down a hole if that counts. ok more than once[angelic]

[Sad]I lost a brand new leatherman into Lake George. I thought I slid it into my pocket in my overalls but I must have missed the pocket and hit the slit to the inside, down my leg it went and into the hole. At the time Marboro cig. had a merchandise catalog out and there was the same leatherman in it that I lost. A friend had enough coupons to send away so it only cost me shipping to replace it.

Luckily the only thing I have lost down the hole was a jar of powerbait. I wasn't even using it either, I had set it out of my tackle box while I was searching for some leader and when I turned around, kick, plop![shocked].. Oh well, coulda been worse.

well lets see now, the most expencive thing I ever lost through the ice.

twas a little peice of paper with a time and address on it. was my sweeties folks address and I was supost to meet her there to get introduced, It was valentines day and I was fishin earlier that day and pulled some thing out of my pocket and the paper fell in to my spearin hole, didnt think much of at the time,

we didnt have cell phones back then so it cost me 3 dozen roses and a bottle of some kind-a fancy wine just to get her talkin to me agin.
