[cool]Just checkin. Wanna make sure it is. Sounds like the ice is holding up, but not still rock solid with enough ice for snowmobiles, etc. Even if the party is not still on, I'm still going up.

As of right now the party is on. Polokid (Rob) is going to check it out on Tuesday and we will make a decision. I personally am concerned about the ice thickness with the number of people attending. I would fish it with no worries, but when there is a large group in a small area there are concerns to be had. Safety first!!
If we decide to hold this, I may do the kids events on shore or something. I was hoping to fish in between the younguns trying for a prize but I can fish another day. This is the time for family and friends.
If we decide to cancel, then I will come up with an online type of challenge and mail a prize bag for you to share with your kid or wait for another get together and try to hook up with ya then.
What are you all's thoughts?

Let's fish till 11:00 and then those that want lunch and prizes go to shore where it is safe. You could do casting games there. DKS.

Based on what I saw there on Saturday, the ice should be fine for the party. 4-5 inches of clear, hard ice with 1 inch of grey on top at the state park boat launch area. I don't think my youngster will care much whether she participates in a game on shore or on the ice, but she is only 3.

You will know at noon tomorrow, i am running up there to check things over. I think if we do it, we will do the lunch at the pavilion at the boat launch at 11:30 and fish whereever.

[cool]Sounds good, Rob. Looking forward to your report. Gonna drill any holes and drop a line while you are there?

I wish i could fish today, but school comes first. I am driving up there long enough to drill a hole put a tape down it and check out other options for party hosting.
