Provo harbor new dike

Have you been in provo state park lately ? it is new constuction of provo harbor .What do you guys think about the new dike they build at provo harbor? Here is my opinion I think it is dump design and waste our tax money. I think it would be better if it starts from the point of south dike cross the point of north dike in stead of cut in middle on the south dike like that.

Actually I believe the reason they mentioned last year for doing this was to keep silt from the provo river from flowing over and settling as quickly in the harbor. They seem to think that the reason it fills with mud and silt so fast and they have to dredge it is because the provo is dumping so much silt and it settles in the harbor. They want to try this design to see if it blocks the silt from entering the harbor and hopefully not having to dredge it as often.

This was all because of Ironman, so they could swim "safely" in the harbor (one deep enough to swim in) during the ironman competition, after that one man a couple years ago drowned in the open lake when it got quite windy.
