Shark is tasty... I must agree with that. Growing up, it's the only fish that I liked.
But now I'm a vegetable... errr... vegetarian... so I don't eat fish. Yeah, I know some people are thinking "I have friends that are vegetarians but they eat fish". Well, think about it. Meat is animal flesh, right? Well, aren't fish animals? [signature]

My mother served it ever Friday. For years I thought I was Catholic until my folks mention that you could always count on getting fresh fish at the market on Friday. My Dad would get upset when I came home from fishing without any fish. Learned to C&R at an early age, otherwise I would have to eat my catch. Several years ago my wife and me went on a crise to Alaska. Had an opportunity to do some salmon fishing for the first time. Brought the largest one back to the ship and the purser arranged for the cook to make our table a salmon feast that night. Boy was that ever good. To this date I prefer salmon to steak.[/size][/#005000][/font][/left][signature]

Out of all of the differrent species of fish that i have caught and ate (haha yeah right) i would have to say that walleyes are the best that i have tasted

What no brookies. Its a char/ trout so I would have to say trout. But I do love copper river salmon.[blush]

My favorite fish dish is tekkamaki which is a small piece of raw tuna (albacore, yellowfin great) in a small vinigared rice roll (inch and half in diameter) wrapped in nori. Add freshly graded wasabi (horseradish) , Iikkyu kikoman shoyu ( top quality soy sauce). Oh ya almost forgot the tall, ice-cold bottle of Sapporo Kuronama (cold-filtered draft beer). Wow, Ron, I love sushi, and that description of yours made me salivate. Here in Provo, Utah, there are few really good sushi places (that I know of), but those that do serve it well, provide some delectable offerings of shrimp, tuna, salmon, etc. on beds of rice. Yum!
Anyway, back to the original question: My favorite fish to eat are freshly caught salmon, walleye, brookies, brownies, 'gills, smallies, and bucketmouths--in that order. There always seems to be something very satisfying about catching a fish in local waters, cleaning and preparing it properly, and eating it the same day. I normally practice C&R, but occasionally I'll keep just enough of the fish I'm targeting for the day and serve it up to my family. Good stuff! [signature]

[cool] I love all types of fish...fresh water OR salt water. if it's edible..I love it..but I'd have to say my favorite would be Atlantic Salmon
