rockport 2-5-05 boatramp
#1
The boat ramp was packed atleast 150, plus people. Me and my daughters got there about 7:00. We did not want to fish with the ever growing crowed so we headed south. We ended up being the farthest group south. We were in to perch right away,(after one of my daughters had to go back to the truck to get the fishing poles.)by 10:00 i had my limit. My daughters both caught there limits also one at 11:15, the other by 11:50. All were between 6 and 10, had 4 that pushed 11, throw back a couple of dozen under 6. I only caught 1 trout he was extra hungry, he ate and swallowed both of my jigs, had good day. heading to Causey this morning, I need a good limit of trout.

Hello,HFF.
Welcome, and good to see your report.
I was also at Rockport Saturday. I had four beginners with me. We were in the same area that you were at but not as far to the South. I thought that I had picked a spot far enough away from the ramp that we would have some privacy, but I soon found out that would not be the case for very long. By 8:00 the place was packed. I thought that the Doug Miller party was on!
With all of the noise and commotion going on all around us, the perch were a little skittish. I did get my limit, but it took a little while longer then normal, because I spent a lot of time working with the newbies that I brought up with me. The kids had a blast and their dad said that I had just cost him a lot of money. I asked why, and he Smiled and said, now I have to buy a fishing shelter and an auger, not to mention a heater, poles and the works!
He was very excited about the new activity that he and his sons could now enjoy together.
Even with the whole Wasatch Front up there fishing with us, we had a great day. DKS.
