Not sure what happened to my original post. So I am retyping. We caught several smaller fish. But after fishing Strawberry a few weeks ago, I felt like I was just catching bait. Although the fish were small, Seeing my 2 10 year old nephews catch their first fish through the ice was awesome. they also took my ice sled down a pretty big hill and flew 50 yards across the ice. We still had a good time fishing but I could not believe how small the fish were. It reminded me of Farmington Pond. I remember years ago going to Lost Creek with my grandparent and we caught some nice fish. I did have about 15 strikes where I didn't land them. Several times they ate the waxie off my jig. Mostly used Whatta Crickets with Waxies. I would have hit the Berry if I could have got an earlier start but had to register the Wife's car. Next time it won't matter how late I am, I am hitting Strawberry and walking as far as I can. You just can't beat the size of the fish there. Well this post doesn't quite match the IceFishingGod, but thought I would post it anyways. At least I got out of doing anything around the house. We did see tons of Turkeys and a few eagles.
