Willard Bay report 03/08/05
#1
I fished the south west corner from the bank. The water is still about a foot below the bottom of the rocks and it's a gradually sloping bottom. I think that I was only able to cast to 2'-3' deep water at best. No fish, No bites. I think floating would be much better 'cause you could reach the "fishy" water better.

On a good note though, the water clarity has improved greatly at willard. It's not murky at all this spring.

The last two years have been very bad as far as the water clarity at Willard goes. That wind really gets the water churned up when the lake is so low, I think now that the water is high, the lake will stay clear. You might do better fishing the channel between the South marina and the bay,at least until the water temp goes up a little more. Because the water temp will be warmer in the marina, that might also be a good choice. When fishing from shore, I like to fish that little bay on the back side of the private docks. Good luck. WH2
