I'm out the rest of the hard water season.

I went up to Lake of the Woods MN last weekend to play some hockey. We got up there on Friday to fish for the day and caught many walleye but the biggest was just shy of 20". That ended up being the best day of the weekend.

Sat we play two games and lost both, but I ended up blowing out my ACL in my right knee again. So now I have to have a second Reconstructive surgery with in the next couple weeks. since Ive already used up my graft ligements in my petella I have to get a ligement donation from a cadaver (sp). My days of ice fishing are done for this year.

And after two reconstructions on the same knee I'll be retiring from hockey at a ripe old age of 35. I'm so bummed, hockey was a major part of me.

I feel for ya bud! Sorry to hear ya blew out your acl again. I've never toren up a knee but I have pins and cables that keep my left foot attached to my ankle. Had a buddy near here tear his Acl up in mid Jan. tho' and he wrapped and braced it up and hobbled out on crutches and ice fished through it until they replaced it 2 week ago.. In fact, he's the guy in the photo holding my 39" Mac by its tail while its laying on the ice. I wish you the best and fast healing!!

I know the fealing, I fully empithise with you, having to give up one of your most cherised activities is like loosing a arm or a leg...

an auto axident took me out of the clowning business. both profesional and charitable.... 7 years ago.

today is also my last day of hard water this season.... any day past st pattie day is a bonus day for me. ususly we have been out of ice by this time. this is the first winter in a long time that the ice held on to its normal period. it did come on late this year too.

[Sad][green]Unfortunately I blew my knee out when I was 17. The only good part about it that it kept me out of Korea. Dam that was a long time ago. There must have been 10 wars since then. That is whats great about fishing. There is no running or jumping involved. Get that leg taken care of hattrk4me and good luck.[cool][/green]
