Help!!! Pleasant Grove is deluged with white-out conditions, less than two hours ago, snow started falling with venegence and now we have four inches and still white out!
Not to worry I'm safe and sound. I am smiling at all this water falling, and the lakes/reservoirs are filling at at very nice clip. I bet you this will be the water year to remember since 1982/83. More storm coming this monday... seems we're in for a great spin cycle!

As much as I am over the snowy season of the year, I am absolutely excited to be able to fish the structure I marked last year that will be underwater!

It's pretty much dumping everywhere right now. Little Cottonwood canyon is closed and has gotten over 600 inches of snow already this year - with possibly another 6 to 8 feet coming in April. It is sure to be an interesting melt-off this spring - no matter if it happens all at once or gradually over time. It looks like most of the resevoirs will be at full pond or in great shape at least - with the exception of some of the really big ones, that is.
BTW - How close did that avalanche artillary round come to where you are ?

I love all the snow and rain, but then I'm from Washington State. The only problem I have is little Cottonwood Cr. runs about 20 feet behind my place and it now about 8" from overflowing. Its going to have to come up several feet before it will do any damage, but it will make a hell of a mess.

It sure is awesome to finally have a good water year for a change. A few weeks ago when we were in that early warming trend I thought, Oh no, a repeat of last year. This month turned out good and if April is even half as good as this month, then we are in for a great year. Good that is if you like full lakes to fish on. In the last two weeks Willard has come up over two feet, so that puts the deepest holes at 23 ft now. With any luck we will see a full pond, plus a little more,in a few weeks. Hey Paul, how often have you seen Utah lake's bird island under water?

Wow, #18 Rapala's are expensive lures, sounds like what you might be catching is worth the chance of losing it though. Is it just a once a year thing that happens in the spring with a full lake?
