Devil Creek Reservoir
#1
Devil Creek Reservoir is full of water and has been recently planted. Deep Creek and Weston are both about 5 feet below the high water mark. Both of them have a very good chance of being completely full a few weeks from now. The surface temperature around on these lakes was around 50 degrees with warmer water along some of the shoreline. I caught most of my fish in less than 4 feet of water. I believe the rainbows liked the slightly warmer water.
American Falls, Deep Creek and Weston have more water than I have seen in them since 2002 if not before then. Hopefully the farmers don't need to take too much water out of the reservoirs this summer. Maybe this is the year that some of these fisheries can begin to recover from the drought.
