Quote:She doesn't have to clean them as long as she'll let me keep catchin' them.I've been taking my kids to Vivian Park the last three weeks and catching Rainbows on Velveeta. We usually catch about ten and then call it a day (of course, we only keep 4).
My kids are getting bored and we're ready for a new challenge. I've gone to Utah Lake before and never had any luck. Tried fishing for Walleye with minnows a month ago and everyone around me caught something but me. I ran over and took the hook out of a big walleye just to say I'd seen one up close.
Needless to say, I don't have a clue about how to fish Utah Lake. Can anyone tell me a place where I can take my kids and show them some fish bigger than my hand? Since I don't know the area well, I'll need pretty clear instructions.
1. Where exactly do I go and how do I get there?
2. What bait do I use? If it comes on a hook in a store, please tell me the name of the bait.
3. I've heard it's easy to catch white bass off the piers by the two dikes. Is that true? If so, how?
4. I don't have a boat.
The biggest fish I've ever caught was a cutthroat on Yellowstone Lake when I was 15. Help!
