Willow Pond 5/2

I finally got down fishing for the first time in over two weeks last night. I got to the pond about 5. Started off with the fly rod strait away. Had a rainbow try to slup the black gnat off the top three strait times! What a rush! Just if my hook set had been better... I walked over to the point with the big willow on it and got settled in for the night. Started fishing with Zekes and got constant bites. Got 5 like that. Then the fish started jumping like mad. I tried lures first, and got another 3 with a little orange and red crank bait. Then I went back to my fly rod and got another 2. All in all it was a great night, and probly the only one I'll have on the water for a while to come.

hey i also fly fish the pond and i've found that a flouresent green fly reeled in behind a bobber works better than a fly rod sometimes just a thought for ya good luck
