I took my wife up to Lost Creek yesterday. We launched our toons around 9:30 and fished till about 3:30. We caught a few rainbows trolling spinners, but nothing earth shattering. The water has come WAAAAY up, and I'd say it's about 10 feet from being full.
Overall it was a great day, despite getting rained on.

Thanks for the report. I was hoping some one would head that way. Were there very many other fisherman around? Were they chatging to get in? I hadn't heard if they decided to charge or not to charge to get in there.

Hi icefool. Wouldn't call it busy, but there were several groups around the lake. There were about 5 or so boats, a couple of canoes, etc, and a few people here and there. There were a lot of people coming in in the afternoon just before we left.
As far as charging for admission, the booth is up, but the windows are boarded up. They have one of those little collection boxes where you're supposed to grab an envelope and fill it out. I didn't have the correct change, so I was waiting for a ranger to come around, which never happened.

I took my boys and a buddy up there Saturday. We were the first on the water. Fishing was fast and furious until the sun really started bearing down on the water. Prior to the sunshine, we did great. Within a half hour of the sun hitting the water, the fishing slowed waaaay down. We probably boated around 20 fish, over half coming in the first 45 minutes the rest over the next 3 hours.
Didn't seem to matter too much what we used, but we caught a lot of a size 7 rapala trolled on mono lines (my 6 year old's rig). We also caught several on a fluorescant green hum dinger trolled behind a silver sling blade. Towards the end of the day, the best was a bronze kastmaster.
Only caught three bows. The rest were all cuts. I was really surprised how many cuts we pulled in. I have always been able to pick up bows with an occasional cut, but this time it was by far mostly cuts. This was my first time trolling the lake so maybe that is the reason.
Had a nice time and the weather was gorgeous. Good luck out there. Keep your tips up and lure in the water.

Mostly 11"-12" fish. One went about 13 1/2" and a couple under 10". Not a lot of size, but a lot of action. For 3 and 6 year old boys that was the most important. Wolverine
