ALEXANDRIA, VA—More than 700 on-the-water events are planned for National Fishing & Boating Week (NFBW), June 4-12. The events will be held nationwide and will include fishing derbies, regattas and festivals intended to help get kids interested in boating and fishing.
The nonprofit Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBBF) has posted a comprehensive, nationwide schedule of NFBW events on its website. The events can be searched by state, town and zip code.
In related news, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is encouraging all boaters to check their equipment thoroughly before heading on the water for this year's NFBW, with a special emphasis on making sure children are wearing proper life jackets.
