Any Clubs in LA Area?
#1
Anyone a member of a fishing club (saltwater or freshwater) in the Los Angeles area? I'm up in the SF Valley near West Hills and am looking for others that would be interested in starting a group that gets together on local charters or fishing trips.

--
troutman = half trout / half man

Jeff,
Are you looking to join a club or start a new one? I'm not sure where West Hills is but if you'll clue me in to where it is I'll get you the name of a nearby club you can join.[Smile]
Dan

Fishing Academy --->http://www.fishingacademy.com

I live in Woodland Hills, which is the in far west end of the San Fernando Valley. Highway 101 and Valley Circle Blvd. Almost Ventura County! I would travel out as far as Studio City or so to attend club meetings. Even Simi Valley, Agoura, or Westlake Village would be okay.

Jeff Jost

Thanks! I've done a search for local clubs, but never found any. I'll check this one out. Anyone here a member of this club?

Jeff Jost

Jeff,
There are other clubs nearer to you but I didn't have time to look through my archives. I'll try to get the information to you quickly. I just heard about this great club that meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Covina Bowl. I heard that this will be their last meeting for the year. I talked to some guy and he says the meeting starts at 7:00 pm and that they have a lot of limited load charters next year. I asked him what boat they take and he said they'd be taking the Aztec out of Pierpoint landing!!!

I've heard a lot of good things about that boat, I'm going to go check it out. By the way, Covina is in the East San Gabriel valley, which is a bit far from the San Fernando Valley, but hey, any of you interested in going send me a private message and I'll give you what details I can give you. I hear they have speakers and a righteous raffle!

Hope this helps anyone looking for a fishing club -- I heard they only do saltwater though, but that's great for me! I'm tired of squeezing onto a cattle boat with guys that don't know how to fish or are just plain rude.

Brian
