Does anybody have any knock em' dead suggestions for fishing trout? Lures, how to find them, what depths and structure to look for, places to go? I'm in vero beach so I think I'm fishing the Indian River, close to Sabastein Inlet. I'm from Utah and I feel way out of my element. Any help will be appreciated!
Thanx,
Cody

Spotted sea trout are abundant in March and April and October and November. We have year round spotted sea trout populations in the Indian River Lagoon system on Florida's east central coast. To target sea trout in the Sebastian Inlet area, try fishing the flats on the deep side on the spoil islands north of where the Sebastian River enters the lagoon. In early morning work top water plugs like Chug-Bug or Top Dog Jr. . If the top water bite isn't happening, switch to a 1/4 ounce Cottee Jig with a red/white grub or curley tail. If the water is dark, use rootbeer or motor oil colors.
