Uinta Snow Stations
#1
Hi all- I have seen a bunch of posts over the past few weeks asking about the Uinta snow situation. I have used the following website for 3-4 years to plan my trips - it is extremely helpful and real time. Give it a try, we all pay good tax money to support this type of stuff.

I've used the website as well, but I've found that it can be misleading. It only gives the snow depth or SWE for a particular site...when 10 yards away it may be different. I've seen the data come back as snow level zero, yet there is a ton of snow still in the area.

I think the website is a good starting point, but for my money, nothing beats a phone call to the ranger station or a first-hand account from a buddy.

I do like the website, though, for the temperature readings.
