Where was this caught?
#1
Can anyone tell where this was caught? It was my first ever of this species, back in 97.

Judging by the mountains, rocks, and fence--I'd say you caught that fish in Utah Lake off the dike to the west of the Provo Airport.

Very good. That's actually just 200 yards or so from the Provo River, on the dike just as you go out around some flooded brush area. That was my first crappie ever. As high as the water has gotten this year, it still hasn't gotten up to that spot yet. It's still dry there. Maybe next year. I have a feeling that we'll get a great spawn from all the Utah lake panfish this year and next year they'll start to show up in the shallows in greater numbers.

Well, ol prince beat me to it, but I can be more specific. This is the corner where two pipes release a spurt of water every once in a while from that canal behind the airport fence. Yeah, there used to be a ton of fishies there.
