newton?

Has any one fished newton this year?

Not too many people using it this year. I haven't seen anyone fishing it in the several times I've gone past. DWR does say there are fish in there they just do not have large populations so you might have to search around to find a school.

I took my kids to Newton on free fishing day. we saw one fish and it wasn't interested in what we had. the lake was full and pretty clear but moss was starting to accumulate in the back of the lake. I don't think the fishing would be worth the trip. It may be a few years for Newton to recover. Chicken.

I was just talking to the guys at Custom Sports and they said that they planted tigers back in this spring and that there are a bunch of little perch/bluegills/the newton normal as well as some transplanted beasts and some hold overs. You got to work really hard though for the water volume/#of fish ratio doesn't favor the fisherman.
