Henry's Fork-7/19
#1
My dad and I fished above Ora Bridge on the Henry's Fork last night 7/19 and the fishing was rather slow. I managed a to get a few very small fish but nothing to brag about. So as we were heading down river to leave I spotted this boil that I knew had to have a fish. I made a perfect cast and connected with a solid fish. The fish took off makin my reel sing and makin a few fantastic jumps on the way. The fish was a 17 inch Beautiful Wild Rainbow. I have never seen a fish in more perfect condition.

My fish were caught on a beadhead flashback pheasant tail nymph trailing behind a Stonefly nymph, using a strike indicator.

All in all it was a beautiful evening and we had the river all to ourselves.
P.S. There was a big hatch of pmd's and caddis but very few fish were interested in them, there were some tough. It was also the maiden voyage for my new William Joseph Chest Gear Bag and I am very pleased.

Thanks for the report. Hopefully we continue to pull out of this drought and a few more young fish start showing up in that part of the river.
