another topwater wiper question

theres has been a couple posts on what type of topwater lures to use for wiper that has got me wondering has anyboby on the board ever tried a buzz bait, if so did you catch any wipers?

Last weekend I used storm chug bug and catch a few wiper. I saw a lot wipers chasing my lure but did not bite I wonder because the lure was attractive to them or what . I will try the buzz bait this weekend and let you know

I tried several topwaters last weekend (Zara Spook Jr., Pop-Rs, Spit-n-Image). It seems to me it just has to be small enough, to mimic the shad, but heavy enough to cast. Thats pretty tough. I finally settled on a Rapala Skitterpop with flashabou and caught 4 fish before the boils subsided.

Generally a slow retrieve for top water is most effective for wipers. I have not heard of anybody useing buzz baits.
