Minnesota Governor Hooks PeTA
#1
ST. PAUL, MN—Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty slammed radical anti-fishing group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA) after its recent request for him to make the walleye, Minnesota's state fish, off-limits to fishing.

Of course, Pawlenty didn't cave to the bizarre demand—in a written response, he told PeTA that it should, "stay out of Minnesota's proud fishing lifestyle."

He went on to say he planned to go out for a walleye dinner that night in response to the ridiculous demand.
